The Office

Y’know work izza funny place…

Mouse an me work on opposite sides of the buildin, doin our bit to earn a crust an gettin on wiv the job…

The Rat Hole is on a corner of the buildin where few folk pass. Mouse spends her days flittin between a cupple of places on the ‘Top Corridor’.

Mouse doesn’t come by the Rat Hole much (too sensible I fink!) but haz been makin up reasons to do just that sumtimes… Ratty, likin the fun of takin a ’sneek peek’ at Mouse workin hard moved a server close to The Boss’s office “only place in the buildin  where it’s secure, Boss”,  then has t’ ‘keep an eye onnit, Boss’, so gets to stroll past the Mouse, casual like, quite a lot…

It’sa bit of an ‘us an them’ place (not too much, justa bit) an us lesser beings are not noticed much as we scurry about doin our thing, but a cupple o’ times a year The Boss decides that we all should get together (after work o’ course!) an socialise…  Usually still ends up as ‘us an them’ but it keeps The Boss happy.

So that brings us upto the ‘do’ next month, izza ’staff only’ do, no partners…   So o’ course Mouse an me manages to break the rules by bein both…

The Office is actually quite a fun place to be, not a lotta backstabbin or arguin whose top dog.  It’s busy an bustlin wiv peeps doing different things and us lot just get on wiv it, doin our thing and (despite ‘the others’ thinkin otherwise) makin sure that everythin goes like clockwork!
